Brevard County Mosquito Control is a department operated by Brevard County & Municipalities. The mosquito control department provides environmentally safe methods to control mosquito populations and aquatic weeds. It offers an array of services, such as adulticiding, larviciding, source reduction and support fire rescue in fighting wildfires. Additionally, the department caters other services, including biological control of mosquitoes, disease monitoring and waste tire abatement. Brevard County & Municipalities is a home of Kennedy Space Center, the only facility in the world that launches the Space Shuttle, Port Canaveral and the second-busiest cruise port in the world. It has the largest collection of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States.
