Don't go!!! Overpriced tourist trap!! On our way out the owner said he wanted to give us "something" and handed us a broken cross. When asked "why", he stated someone in our party broke it, but when we ask "who" he would not say. There were six people in our party (3 couples) and 4 of us were standing there. The other couple had left the store. Rather than argue, my husband graciously paid for the broken item and I took it; however, my sister-in-law went back in and gave the the broken item back and told the man how rude and ill-mannered he had been. He did tell her that the other couple broke the item, but for some reason he chose to give to us and not them, so she questioned if he was accurate. On her way out he stated, and I quote, "You must be baptist"!! Has he lost his mind completely!!!? I doubt he knows little of Christianity in any denomination and you certainly don't criticize if you want repeat customers.

There are several reviews on google search of this place with similar instances, so ours was not unique. These people need to find a new business. Public relations is definitely not their calling!

By the way, we visited the mercantile next door and the gentleman and lady in there were gracious and accommodating. We spent 50 bucks with them!

(I had visited this store several years ago and the owners at that time were very interesting and kind. It has obviously changed hands & I understand that the owners are from FL and are only there during peak tourist season.)
