The staff at Monroe St. Jared were not just tolerant of our same-sex relationship needs, they were accepting, encouraging and co-conspirators.
I had a lot of help designing and buying my then girlfriend's engagement ring. She then visited the store to design my ring - unbeknownst to me.
Some time after our engagement party, she started dropping hints about meeting the people who helped design her ring. Eventually, the hints became requests to go on a certain day. Finally, the requests took on a tone of desperation I thought a little odd; nonetheless, she wanted to go, so we went.
Upon entering the store I was surprised to find all the people involved in the design of her ring were working that day. After introductions, my fiance' took my hand and began telling the story of our engagement party. I thought it was sweet. Then the engagement party story became a declaration of her love. Yes. She proposed to me in Jared's. The staff caught it all on camera.
