This was one of the worst apartments I have ever rented from. It was a cheap which was a bonus but there was never anyone working in the office. It was always closed and when things went wrong no was there to fix it or they wouldn't fix it properly.

Also, upon moving out the apartment charged all kinds of erroneous charges and instead of sending notification of the charges to the forwarding address provided to them they sent me to collections instead and charged double the amount they billed me for. Would absolutely never rent from this place or any other Elon Property Management group. There is a reason this company does not provide direct phone numbers to their regional managers or reviews on their property websites. It is because they are shady and hiding from all the residents they have screwed over.

I've lived here for probably 3 years solely because of its location to my son's school and my parent's house (who watch my child while I'm working). My rent started at $580 ($100/off per month for a 12 month lease agreement) and rose to $700 after the first year, and again to $740 when I signed a new 12 month lease. Despite the photos of sagging walls, peeling wallpaper (from the 70s of course), rotted fence, and cheap broken molding, they deemed it appropriate to reward my loyalty by again raising my rent. When you factor in that we've had 4 different apartment managers (there was a long stretch of time we had no manager), and too many maintenance men to count, you'd think they could've at least rewarded those select few of us that stuck around.

Bonus: Apartment is NOT in Ottawa Hills.

Not sure how it was when the other folks who wrote reviews lived here, but since Charlene has been property manager, this place has been wonderful! She really cares about us and has taken her time to get to know us. Love the location - I actually can see deer right outside my door! It's so quiet, nice neighbors. Some of my neighbors have dogs, but they are well mannered and always picked up after. Definitely recommend living here!
