Tom Strain market has the freshest sweet corn you can buy. I miss growing my own corn now that I live on a shady city lot. Strain's corn is always as fresh and sweet as the corn I used to pull from my own garden. Service is always friendly and helpful. Strain's has been a Toledo establishment for 5 generations. It is a special place for me because I worked there in the summer of '69 pulling corn & cutting cabbage - my first job!

When I was younger, one of the places my mom liked to shop at was Tom Strain's produce. I grew up, had my own children, still shopping at Strains occasionally. Today, however, my shopping at Strains has come to an end. Why, you may ask? RACIAL PROFILING!!!!! My 27 YO daughter went into the store while out on her daily walk. She stopped there to get a drink and maybe some fruit for later. Well, after she made her purchase and was leaving the store, an employee, who had been by the register while she made her purchase, had the nerve to place her hand into my daughter's bag!! My child asked her what she wa doing and all she recieved was incoherent nonsense. I wonder if this would've happened had she been caucasian. We all know the answer to that!! I now give Tom Strain's NEGATIVE 3 STARS!!!! WILL ADVISE OTHERS NOT TO SHOP
