The Tower on the Maumee (formerly named the Fiberglas Tower) was originally constructed in 1967 as part of the urban renewal project known as "Riverview". In addition to the Tower, the Riverview project included Levis Square Park and the Riverview Parking Garage. The Tower was the headquarters for the Owens-Corning Fiberglas Co. for more than 20 years. It was the tallest building in the Toledo at the time it was built and remains the most significant Modernist architectural landmark in Toledo. Quinn Evans Architects were retained by the Eyde Co. as the lead and historic architects to redevelop the Tower. The basement through floor 17 will include retail and commercial tenants while floors 18-28 will house the residences.
