Wow, I just visited Bear Mountain Outfitters and I am delighted. What a great shop and in a small town to boot. The owner, Patti, took the time to chat with me and even had treats for my dog!! There is a wide selection of high quality merchandise. I saw the comments posted by a previous visitor and I would have to say that you can choose to shop on line if you want the lowest possible price... but for customer service, selection (they will special order), and quality you just can't beat the shopping experience at Bear Mountain Outfitters. Friendly people, good service. It s nice to have a local store to try and support. Unfortunately, I can't do it ever again. OUTRAGEOUS PRICING. Bought a deer archery target for $170, only to check online and find it for $98 shipped. It was $98 or $99 everywhere else. If it were $20 or even $30 more expensive than all of the other stores I would have been happy to support the local business. I can't stand Walmart, so I'll just have to settle for the internet stores. A friend had a similar experience buying a fishing rod there for $65, only to find it everywhere else for $30. I just cannot shop there despite wanting to support a local business.
