I've been coming to The Birch for many years when I vacation from Ohio. It is one of the highlights of my vacation. Never had a good meal her, always been very good or OMG delicious. The chef is very creative and makes great sauces so I always get the special. The owner and staff are always friendly and polite, and the view, well you have to see it to believe it. A true gem of the north woods!

Lamb was good. Coconut shrimp overcooked. Veal Parmasean was very VERY tough, I brought 3/4 of it home for our dog. It was also given with too much useless pasta with little sauce. Calamari was tough and overcooked. Escargot though was very good. Staff and atmosphere was pleasant. Bar drinks very good. Dinner prices would have been okay if our experience with the food was better.
