Provided by YP.comI feel the need to respond to the review by Monica O. First of all, there are two reviews on here and we have been in business over 10 years and we do on the average 150 moves a month in Northeast Kansas. Seventy-five percent of our moves come from referrals or prior customers who were pleased with our service and affordable pricing. Two reviews cannot be a true barometer of the type of service we provide. Some of the review by Monica O. is correct and some is not. Before agreeing to the job I did tell her we were very busy and had only a short amount of time at the end of the day to help her. She said the scope of the job was just to move a few heavy items that she could not get by herself. When our movers arrived she asked if we had boxes as there was some packing that needed to be done. She did allow our movers to go look at what or how much needed to be packed. And it was my mover's understanding that they were being asked to pack. She then left and said that she would be back quickly with boxes. After waiting 15 minutes (not 8) my movers called and said she wanted them to pack and move items. I tried to call her on her cell phone but there was no answer. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon and I had to make a decision whether to have my movers continue to wait for who knows how long and then to do a job that included packing that was not agreed to and could have taken them well past the agreed time after an already grueling day they had been through with two prior moves in 95-100 degree weather or stay and do whatever she wanted. At 3 Men With a Truck & Trailer we do value our customers and bend over backwards to help them but we also value our movers and their health and family responsibilities. I made the decision to bring them home feeling that we had been asked to do something that was beyond what we agreed to. When she called the next day I offered to come back again at another time but she said she already moved the items with another person's help.

Provided by YP.comI called 3 men and a truck and trailer to ask if they could help move a few items from a 1 bed apartment for a senior lady. I was told they were "extremely" busy, but he could squeeze me in the following day. I agreed and was told they would call me 30 minutes before they came out between a 2 hour window. They called to tell me they would be later than they thought and would call me when they could come out. It wasn't an issue.
We finally met up at the apartment and I asked if they had brought any boxes (I had a few things to stick in them) They didn't, I had also realized I had forgotten the keys (go figure) I lived 3 minutes away (1 way) I told the 2 gentlemen I was so sorry, that I would return quickly I lived just 3 minutes away. In my mind, as the customer, I was thinking, I'm paying them by the hour so it was my loss in dollars that was ticking away.
I ran home - and returned 8 minutes later. They were gone. I did not have access to a phone and so after waiting I went inside and started moving as much of the heavy stuff that I could into 1 room and used the 2 boxes i had grabbed at home to put the few living essentials that didn't need to be in storage.
Later, I called the company and left the owner Kurt a message stating that I was appalled at the lack of professionalism that they would just up and leave with no explanation given at the time. He called me back the following morning without no remorse at all and an absolute belief that his company was professional. He said, according to his employees, that I needed them to pack and he said he would have refused the job if he had known this because "they were just too busy". I told him I didn't need his employees to pack, I had just asked for a couple boxes (if they had them) to throw her lose things in. He remained rude, obnoxious in how "busy" he and his employees were, and just very lacking in any customer service knowledge what-so-ever.
On his website it states: "3 MEN WITH A TRUCK & TRAILER and A&A Mini Storage & Truck Rental would like to thank you for taking an interest in our company and our website. If you have further questions regarding our services or if you'd like to arrange for a consultation with one of our friendly and capable moving experts, please give us a call today. We are more than happy to help in any way possible and look forward to working with you."
To me, that represented great service provider and "friendly, capable" employees. Also - they are "more then happy to help in any way possible". From my experience Kurt the owner is NOT more then happy to help in any way possible if he's busy. And he has no qualms about pulling out of a job commitment if he thinks that there is a slightest change to the customers requests. He charges by the hour - but he's too "busy" to devote the hour to a customer. If a business believes that they can make commitments to a customer then just pull out because they can't handle the situation, then they shouldn't be surprised with reviews like this.
And to be fair... i've used this company before at least 3 times - for the same person. Never had a problem with them and funny thing I have actually appreciated the work they did, that is why I called them again. But, if getting too busy in your business means you sacrifice the value of your customer because you can't handle the situation and are NOT willing to help in any way you can... then I guess it's just all down hill from there. Customer Service is and always should be your #1 priority, no matter how little the job. Thoroughly disappointed.

Provided by YP.com10/27/13 - I had a HUGE old Sony TV/stand that needed removed from my downstairs. IT WAS HEAVY! I left them a message on a Friday evening and they returned my call in the a.m. I was going to be "in and out" that day, but they worked around my schedule, keeping in touch by phone. They charged $50 plus $10 recycle fee. Two men came; I tipped them each $5 and gave them a bottle of cold water! Nice guys and reasonable price!!! I would recommend
