Established in 1972, French Middle School is a coeducational institution that has an annual enrollment of more than 700 students in grades six through eight. It is operated by Topeka Public Schools, which also operates other elementary, middle and high schools. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, therapists, librarians, counselors, and office and support personnel. It has a library media center that assists students in the development of information literacy skills necessary for independent lifelong learning.
