Our Judo Club focuses on Kodokan Judo, traditional Jiu-jitsu, and self-defense as established by Professor Jigoro Kano in 1882. What tends to separate Ikikata Judo Club from many other great clubs is our strong emphasis on tradition, self-defense, and the higher principles of Judo, i.e. the students ethical and moral development.

The owner is very knowledgeable in judo. He teaches very traditional judo. He can teach sport judo if asked to do so. He does not have down syndrome!! He attained his black from Gary Goltz. Although He does not compete he is indeed a legit black belt. Beware of those who try to talk down on instructors when they themselves have never taught a class.

If I can give this guy less than one star the better Gary Gucciano is a black belt but relatively unknown in the Judo community. Sadly he lack the skills to back up his black belt. If you're looking to get good please go to another gym.

Just another no name "black belt" in Kansas who happens to knows it all. This guy has no experience competing with other judo professionals. He frequently compares jiujitsu to judo. Either this man hasn't have a clue or the IQ to truly be aware of the differences or he is a COMPLETE FRAUD. Who did this man get his black belt from?

Beware of this con artist and fake black belt. This man has no credentials in competition, and has not proven himself in the sport of Judo. The man has down syndrome and pretends to know it all. BEWARE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

The owner is very knowledgeable! My sons been going for 5 months and loves it. He went elsewhere and didnt like it but has grown fast here! One thing to note is this school does not practice the sport rules but teaches it if you want. Their focus is on self-defense and old school Judo. I plan to start classes soon. I highly recommend.
