I made a massive mistake when I rented here. My apartment, one of the smaller one bedrooms flooded in two different places twice in a two month period (I'm moving at the end of the two month period). The first time the carpet was left wet for a week and a half and the next time slightly over a week. The second time it was raining and water was pouring down the blinds and also pouring in the ceiling exhaust fan in the kitchen.I called the emergency number and they said they couldn't do anything as it was raining, they wouldn't come out and look, so they may have an emergency maintenance help number but likely you'll get no help if you move here. An 8 inch spot of round green mold (or something as Park South claims if it wasn't black and smelly it wasn't mold) formed on the ceiling which they did finally come and spray bleach to get rid of it. I have incurred vet bills and physician bills as the apt is making me and my cat sick from the dampness and the green mold/mildew on the ceiling. My cats ears started turning black and he had to be put on Nizoral shampoo and I had to be put on antibiotics for bronchitis which the dr said would be more likely in the situation I am living in. I am counting down the days till I move. The biggest thing is the fact of when there are maintenance problems they are not going to be dealt with in a timely manner. There are plenty of other apartments of equivalent rent than to chance your health by moving into Park South Apartments. I will give them credit they were nice and let me out of my lease.
