My family loves pizza. We would eat it every day if we could, so I left my area and traveled to Rudy's due to a suggestion from a friend. We bought several different pizza's to try and also their barbeque and one meatball sub. The pizza was typical hand tossed pizza but not cooked very crisp. And that was really our only complaint. The cheese was fresh, the toppings were fresh and they were all delicious. To me the most incredible part of the pizza was the sauce. I would kill for the recipe as I like it better than any other sauce I have tasted including our home made sauce on our pizza's. The barbeque was eaten by my wife and she liked it okay. She had chosen the tomato based version where as the owner said his Carolina based one is to die for. We did try this version so I cannot say for certain. I tried the meatball sub. It, too, was just okay. The meatballs were incredible. Very, very good, but the sauce was too boring IMO, and would be better on spaghetti only. I think a Subway meatball sub, discounting the meatball difference, would be better. All this said, the pizza was fantastic and will bring us again despite it being about 20 miles away from us. My wife gives it 3 stars, my daughter 4 and I give it 5.
