Masconomet Regional Middle School has been operational for more than 35 years. Located in Topsfield, Mass., it is a part of Masconomet Regional School District. The school enrolls more than 500 students in the grades six through eight. It offers a wide variety of learning procedures and methodologies, including readalouds, shared and guided reading, word study, mini lessons, spelling program, poetry sessions, interactive writing, writer s workshop, special handwriting classes, reading buddies, and programs using cubes, number cards and pattern shapes. Masconomet Regional Middle School utilizes full-inclusion model, ongoing assessments, individualized lesson plans, modified materials and class arrangements, grade level conferences, and parent communication strategies. It employs more than 50 support staff, including counselors, diagnosticians, speech, physical and occupational therapists, special education personnel, reading teachers, custodial staffs, community volunteers, nurses, and office personnel.
