I went in for a four wheel alignment. My 2003 Ford Expedition was pulling to the right. The problem was a tie rod and it was replaced and the alignment was done within the time I was quoted. VIP in Topsham, Maine will now be my go to place for vehicle repairs.

I was in on Monday to have my car inspected.After sitting in the waiting room for about FIVE minutes the guy working the desk came in from the garage and told me the car failed. He said the mechanic named AL said the car needed new rear brake pads,rotors and oh yeah probably new front pads within six months.Given the reviews I had read BEFORE going in,the time spent supposedly inspecting the car and the milage on the vehicle I wasn't buying what they were trying to sell me.It was especially comical listening to the guy doing up an estimate mutter under his breath about the pricing being too high and so he was lowering it.I came out of there with an estimate for $351.65. I immediately came home and told me husband he needed to take the car to a reputable place.Well,he just came home with an inspection sticker on the car.He specifically asked the place he had it done at if there was anything to be worried about in the future and was told there was not.The back brake pads have been measured and are a bit over 4cm.There is not a thing wrong with the rotors and nothing was even on the radar as far as brakes go.So that's quite a racket you got going there.It can't even be blamed on a crooked mechanic because the guy at the desk would have had to have known that there is no way an inspection was done in that short amount of time.I feel bad for any elderly folks that might go to VIP as they would certainly be viewed as an easy mark.I hope that $12.50 was worth yet another bad review.
