Hotel management does not understand the simplicity of SERVICE ANIMAL! If you are handicapped or suffer from any medical or emotional distress trauma, businesses, agencies, retailers and yes even hospitality venues are not legally allowed to question the requirement of your service. This is upheld under the privacy of medical records confidentiality. This hotel demands you inform staff on entry of your service animal, despite the fact this is not the law, it is only their preference and is only noted with a small sign at the check-in window. Regardless it is still illegal as they wanted to charge the pet rate for my service dog, after a legal threat, this was rescinded; however, staff hounded (pardon the pun) me until it became unbearable for me to remain in their facility. Staff threatened to maintain a cash security deposit due to the presence of my service dog in the motel room; AGAIN, a violation of the ADA. Nicole Booth (Assistant General Manager) even though she will never admit to it when she is so blatantly at fault will hide in the back room and only come out to call the police to have you removed. Little does she know the police were called and her and her staff were reported for violation of the ADA rules and regulations regarding the hospitality and personal privacy of said animals owner. Be wary if an overweight, overbearing and unfortunately informed near former AGM for the Ramada Chain approach you. You might want to release your PET (in her eyes) to attack the offender of your personal rights. This woman including the Ramada Corporate are currently under Civil proceedings in the Torrance Municipal Court and will be faced with multiple charges for ADA violations, and inciting undue stress and duress. By the Way, is anyone with exceptional customer service skills in need of an immediate managerial position in the hospitality industry? I can guarantee you an opening at the Ramada Inn Torrance on Pacific Coast Highway. In court 18 times and never lost, number 19 will soon arrive. My goal is her termination! I will succeed!
