Founded in 1925, Walteria Elementary School is a part of the Torrance School District and is located in Torrance, Calif. The school houses more than 30 classrooms and provides academic education to more than 650 students in grades kindergarten through five. It has a parent-teacher association that organizes a variety of fundraising events, such as family dinner night, earth week, T-shirt sales, fun-run, room parent program, and staff and teacher appreciation. The school offers various student programs and activities, including book fairs, chorus, band, winter holiday workshop, adventures in art and magic of music. Walteria Elementary School s academic curriculum includes special education, reading and writing, basic skills, math, science, social studies and physical education.
