Townsend State Bank has a very inviting atmosphere and some very nice people working there. The downfall that took them to 2 stars is their lack of options with the checking accounts. My last bank offered totally free checking and you actually gained interest on the account if you met certain requirements, it was not much but for a guy like me living paycheck to paycheck a little extra money was very appreciated and over time added up. Their internet security almost seemed too good at times because they also didn't have a phone app and trying to access my account from my phone was slow and sometimes didn't work at all.
