I brought my old gold jewelry to Nelson Coleman for appraisal and sale. I walked in without an appointment. but was made to feel welcome. Jake Dahlberg evaluated all my pieces, answered my questions thoroughly, and explained the process to this novice seller, all with patience, friendliness and courtesy. A very satisfying experience for me.

When I had a batch of gold vintage jewelry to sell first time, I attempted to contact almost 10 jewelers in the Washington Metro region. Of those, Nelson Coleman was the only place I was treated like a real customer and immediately scheduled an appointment. At that time, I was very ignorant about jewelry and I had no idea what kind of value what I brought there had. The owner (Mark Coleman) himself spent hours to go through every single piece and explained what it is and even taught us some tips and shared all kinds of stories related to jewelry. We also learned that he charges very little commission. All of his staff are very nice (as well as knowledgeable) too. He is the one who puts 'trust' first than anything else in treating customers and I strongly recommend them.
