We are proud to announce that The Mansion at Valley Country Club has just been chosen as "The Knot Best of Weddings 2009 from The Knot Wedding Network"! This award has been bestowed upon us from the brides who were thrilled with the level of service and product brought to their wedding day. The Knot is a coast-to-coast guide to the country's top catering, venues, florists, photographers, cakes and everything bridal. The Mansion at the Valley Country Club is an historic site nestled in the Ruxton-Riderwood community. The mansion was built in 1858 and was once a 500 acre thriving cattle farm. The property features an historic Georgian Mansion, the ideal setting for an elegant wedding ceremony and reception. Fine dining, oriental rugs, German millwork, and a sweeping grand staircase provide the perfect venue for a wedding or special event. The Mansion is renowned for its unique sports bar decorated with 200 years of celebrity and sports memorabilia. Since 1955, the club has been owned and managed by former NFL Hall of Famer, Art Donovan, and his wife, Dorothy. The club has a tradition of providing the finest in catering, wedding receptions, wedding ceremonies, and corporate events. The Donovan family boasts a colorful history dating back to the Civil War and has made its mark in the world of boxing as well as football. Over the past 50 years we have taken great pride in offering the finest hospitality and helping other families make their own history as members of the club.
