Bay Area Transportation Authority, was established in 1985 through the merger of Leelanau County Transit and Traverse City Dial-a-Ride. Based in Traverse City, Mich., it is a two-county authority, serving Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties, as well as provides mobility throughout the area and to Grand Traverse County's regional center for employment, education, services and retailing. The company operates a fleet of 60 buses and vans and employs 110 people. It is funded through state and federal transportation programs, an authority-wide millage and farebox revenues.

Provided by YPmobileEver since they changed their route time from noon to 3pm the time for pick ups has been horrible. One bus isnt going to be reliable for people in a town this big.....plus they leave earlier than they are suppose to. And they are very rude
