Provided by YP.comI visit the outdoor theater often and find it a great experience. You have the option of sitting on the hillside in chairs or on blankets, in or around your car. The food is good. The people are freindly and the place is well kept. They spray for mosquitos every night. In my opinion you will not find a better deal for the money. This is a place families can come and enjoy at a reasonable price.

Provided by YP.comAt first, we certainly enjoyed going last summer to experience first run movies at the Wilderness Outdoor Movie Theater. Two big screens and two feature films to see for $5.00 a head is not bad. We've been to many drive-in theaters across the country and this is very clean well kept drive-in setting. We've never seen anyone boozing it up either. It appears family friendly. The main screen is huge and worth a look if your nearby. Screen One which is the main screen has a large area of grass in the back to lay out a blanket. A plus is you can still hear and see the movie from outside the car and avoid using your auto's FM radio. Beware of the nasty fire ants if you decide to lay on the grass, a big blanket will be needed or stay in your car. The Wilderness Theater is of course a wood-sy setting and the owners spray before anyone arrives to keep the flying bugs down which is appreciated. One weekend the owner did not spray and the mosquitoes were more than annoying to say the least, as we had to roll up the windows on the car to prevent being eaten alive! To be fair it was announced that no bug spray was used earlier in the evening, so we were warned. I wish a sign was posted at the gate instead. Upon last visit, the owner drove his golf cart around and said "you cannot bring in your own food or drinks." Because we need water to take medications, we think this is very stupid on their part. Families who want to save money by taking a car load of children to the movies will also not be impressed by not allowing some food or drink to be brought in. When we first went, bringing food and drink was allowed as long as you cleaned up after yourself. This policy changed because the concession stand was not bringing in the money. There's a reason the consession stand doesn't make money. It's serves horrible food. We've had MUCH better drive-in food and choices of drink at better prices in all sorts of drive-ins.Too bad ! The owners seem to care, as they tell everyone over the loud speaker before the first feature and between films that the owners will boost your battery for free, But the new food and drink policy stinks as bad as the food served there. Example is the nachos should be avoided as they are cold and stale. A BP Gas Station has better food. A Vending Machine has better food, really! Drinks are the same price as an indoor theater. If the owners would please provide better food and not over charge for it or allowed food and drink to be brought in as other drive-ins allow, I would consider going back. For others if food or water is not a big deal for you after two feature length films then enjoy.

Provided by YP.comI must admit I wasnt to happy with the idea of going to a drive-in after attending Rave theatres for a long time. However, After having my baby I was limited where I could go. We went and its beautiful! The vista is spectacular and nobody I Bet beats it.Its such a pleasure to watch movies there and look foward each year to it. It closes in the winter. I recommend it to all parents. Have fun
