The Election Law Enforcement Commission works to administer the New Jersey Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Reporting Act, the Gubernatorial, Legislative Disclosure Statement Act, and Legislative and Governmental Process Activities Disclosure Act. Established in 1973, it monitors the campaign financing of elections in New Jersey. The commission also supports the law requiring candidates for governorship and legislature to make personal finances public prior to elections.
