Owner was rude placed smelled horrible. What people say on here is true.

I would have rated it ZERO stars if there were an option. The owner is THE rudest person I have ever spoken to. They sold me too many fish for the size tank I had, I had no idea. I ASSUMED that they knew what they were talking about. I guess that was my SECOND mistake. The first was GOING THERE! I purchased the fish for my 2 kids. 3 days later when almost all of the fish were dead I called to see what could be done about the situation. All I wanted was my money back. That was it. If they want to dispense false knowledge to people, fine. I just wanted the FIFTY dollars back that I spent with these people. The owner told me that I should have done research on buying fish before I came in there. Really? I thought YOU were supposed to know what you were talking about since you OWN A FREAKIN PETSHOP!!! I told her that I had purchased the fish for my 2 children and they have been devastated every day to find more dead fish in each of their tanks. She ABSOLUTELY didnt care. She also screamed at me on the phone. Very professional. DON'T GO THERE!!! Do yourself and your WALLET a favor and drive to Montgomery, or Dothan or ANYWHERE but here!!!!!!!

I have been going to Troy Pets & Grooming for over 10 years now and love it! The service is always helpful and friendly. Everything I have bought there I have been pleased with. I enjoy every visit I make there.

This is a horrible place and I would never recommend it to anyone. The place smells awful and the animals are not properly taken care of. The cages are dirty, food bowls and water bottles are empty and there are bugs in the cages with the animals. It's completely pathetic and heart breaking going in that place. The work there is completely rude.



I brought my 6 month old puppy in there to get him a toy and that was a HUGE mistake. There were uncaged younger cats running around the store. My puppy was completely scared of them and didn't once move from my side as I was trying to find a toy that wasn't completely covered in dust. Out of no where two of the cats completely attacked my dog. He yelped in pain and tried running away but the cats were just completely clawing up his face! I had to pull the cats off of him for them to stop! The owner, instead of apologizing, demanded that I took my dog out of the store because he could "hurt the kittens". My puppy's face is now completely scatched up and bleeding. He had done nothing to deserve that. I understand the owner cannot control the cats but she handled the situation very very poorly. I'm pretty sure it's against regulation to have cats just walking around the store.
