I applied for a home equity loan to take advantage of the low rates and as a cushion for my Chase checking account overdrafts. I had a great experience! I worked with Len Verlinden at the Rochester MI branch, and he was just amazing. Smart, but also very personable. I connected with him and felt very comfortable. He really pulled for me and worked his magic. I was in good hands. He explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. Len is my banker!

DONT Support these crooks! Greedy bank, mess up lives with the terrible home appraisal process. Just sometimes, just once in a while, they should actually allow for the appeal with adjustment!!!

HORRIBLE! I Call monthly since August on a status check of an old mortgage keep getting told someone will contact me no one does. Someone really needs to help people, just keep getting the run around. How are they still in business?

The Worst Bank EVER!!!! We just tried to refi our home, and it's been two months one thing after another! They make up rules as they go.... We just told them to cancel the loan and we would go to another bank! how can you be approved then a week later you 10,000 in reserve to REFI? This is crazy... ZERO RATING!

I would give them a zero as well. The lack of communication and the unprofessional behavior is unreal. Getting my mortgage was a very terrible experience. They lost papers, were unorganized, and did not contact me on things they needed so my loan did not close on time. I will NEVER be using this bank again and will be refinancing as soon as possible!!!!

I would give them zero stars if possible. I had water damage to my house in early Jan of this year. The insurance co took 3 weeks to do their work and issue a check. The bank is holding the check and even though I submitted the first invoice on June 6th it took till July12th to get the check. THE CHECK WAS FOR ONLY HALF THE INVOICE!!??? Contractor won't finish until he is paid (he started work in Jan.) I drove for 12 hours to go to their office in Troy since no one will give any straight or honest answers on the phone. I spoke to a manager who was to send another check. I did arrive two days later than promised and it is still short by 35% of the invoice. Still no resumption of construction.

I suggested that I start only paying half of my mortgage payment but I am sure they will have a totally different view of making payments when it is to them. Insurance/ claims dept sucks.
