First the manager lied to me and said, "Your oil filter cap is melted," yes, he said MELTED, "and it needs to be replaced. It's fairly common in your type of car and I'm not sure why it hasn't been recalled yet." After getting a second opinion, as most people do when something doesn't make sense, I found that it was CRACKED and someone just did a shoddy job of repairing it. A few months go by and I take my car elsewhere for my next oil change. SURPRISE! They can't even attempt to get my drain plug out because it is stripped so badly. When I took it back up to Auto Lube Plus, the manager first told me, without looking at it, that it isn't stripped, it's just too tight. After taking a look the manager changed his story and told me that is IS stripped but they couldn't possibly have done it because they wouldn't have been able to get it back on. Bolts and other tools get stripped by being tightened too much. He spoke to me like I was stupid, lied to me, and expected me to pay him to fix his mistake. They were getting paid when it was messed up, why would I pay them to correct their mistake? No matter where you go, if it is the fault of the store, they fix it free of charge. This manager, however, didn't feel like taking responsibility for his actions and thought it wise to speak to me like I was stupid. I have contacted the BBB about this issue, but they will NEVER get any more business from me.
