I would describe healthy pet as store that charges more than money than larger establishments and cares very little for their customers. There is very little reason anyone to shop here. I spent roughly 3000to4000 dollars in this store from 2014 to 2015. The owner changed the policy for fish or coral trade-ins so that customers would not recieve store credit. I discovered they changed this policy because it is difficult to find staff necessary to replicate it in new stores. During a grand opening in Latham, I requested to speak with the owner to give customer feedback on the policy. The person I spoke to told me that he didn't know where the owner was. When I spoke with another staff member, they pointed the owner out. It was the man who told me that he didn't know where the owner was. I sent them an email about my experience. I didn't recieve a response for over a week. I have yet to recieve a response. I've never been so disrespected in an establishment where I've spent so much money

I have 7 aquariums up and running 5 are 75 gallon to 120 gallons... I have Discus and Tanganyikan Cichlids... Most of the long time LPS in the area seem to not be interested in these species... I drive from Glens Falls and search the capital district, but usually am disappointed... To my surprise the trip to Healthy Pets was a joy... Store was clean, tanks looked great and they had several tanks with Tangynikians and even a tank with Discus... However if you are a saltwater fan this is the place for you... Perhaps 3/4 of the fish area of the store is loaded with saltwater fish and corals... I was very impressed and intend to go back tomorrow...
