was there last week...i cant understand these negative reviews...the food was out of this world and the service was great!!! cant wait for karaoke!

We recently visited Marisa's for a family dinner. We were promptly seated, drink orders taken and were given ample amount of time to look over the menu before the waittress returned for our oders. The food was very good - not outstanding but very good and we would definitely return if in the area. Several members of our party opted for the appetizer servings which were more than ample. I ordered a gnocchi dish which was extremely good but the portion was huge - enough for two more meals was boxed to go home which is not a bad thing. My husband was a bit disappointed with his order as he does not care for fish with cheese over it - The menu description did not indicate cheese or he would not have order it. 6 of us split desserts, Tiramasu which was average and and apple dessert which was exceptional! By the end of the evening the bar area was quite full leaving us to believe it is a local hangout but it did not bother us in any way.

We had a lovely server who made us feel very welcome. We had wandered in not knowing anything about the place. It was a bit expensive but the food we received was terrific. The bread was very good and fresh. Our entrees was obviously made to order and very flavorful. The only complaints I might have is that there were no refills on soda. I would definitely go back on a special occasion.

The food here is really good. My main complaint is that the bar area is quite small so it fills up fast. I'm not crazy about the newer dining room. In the summer it turns into a "Jersey Shore" type dance area; not the greatest. The food makes up for it, and the servers in the bar are nice!

I attended a wedding here and the wait staff and bar staff were attentive and genuinely nice and the food was delicious - I had a very large wedding for my daughter at the surf club in new Rochelle, which is known for wedding service and was so disappointed. That "upscale"venue could learn from this place! Too bad we couldn't transplant the service down here!
