I booked an appointment with this provider, who IS within my preferred MODA Health network. They had me fill out four pages of paperwork before my first appointment that took OVER an hour. The day of the appointment, Tom the receptionist called to let me know I had a deductible I had not met. I said I was aware of it, and thanked him for explaining details of the health plan I signed up for (and was fully aware of). He then said I had to pay in advance of them billing MODA after first appointment. I called MODA, they said Tom was incorrect, they must first process claim before final amount owed is determined. I called Tom back to explain, he still insisted on payment 'up front'. I said I'll not comply with you but rather proceed per MODA instruction, and he said sorry, that's office policy. I informed him I would not do business with him. MODA is now investigating him for non-compliance with their contract.
