So disappointed in what the practice has become. I started with Heather McGowan who I loved but she is never available for appointments any time I call to schedule for my children. The wait time is typically an hour which is absolutely ridiculous. The call back time is 8 hrs plus and even when someone calls you back the advice seems like something you already found off the internet. The staff...especially receptionist sounds annoyed when you call and makes you feel uncomfortable. I mean really, a mom has enough going on she needs to get attitude on top of it? After 3 yr and extreme frustration km done dealing with it. I'M finding a new pediatrician that cares snd calls me back at a reasonable time. Oh and by the way..all three doctors have totally different opinions on anything you ask them...so who do you believe? Well I'm tired of guessing so don't fall victim to them as well.

My children have been patients...

My children have been patients of Dr. Heather McGowan of Village Pediatrics since the office was fairly new. I use to rave about this office and even referred a couple of friends back in 2008. Now this place is horrible. I'm currently researching pediatricians in my area. The Dr.'s are great but the staff and new policies are far below average and absurd when compared to other Pediatric offices. They've recently enforced so many fees and charges for paperwork such as immunization record, form completion etc. They try to get extra money for everything from their patients. Again, I must mention Dr. McGowan is a great dr. but sadly the staff she has chosen is not very friendly or helpful. Forget about their willingness to work with parents. Psst. I have such a headache from trying to plead with the staff to complete a time sensitive form for my daughter. Forms are completed within 5 days. Yes, you are told that they may take a week to complete. If you choose to have them print you a copy of any forms already completed within a year you must pay $10 out of pocket. Definitely not a family friendly doctors office anymore. Forget it. Just another headache for the average working parent. Expect to be treated like a customer not a patient if you choose Village Pediatrics as your child's pediatric office.
