We just had this company work on our dogs and cat for the first time. BIG MISTAKE!! While the grooming job on the dogs was subpar (one of them looks the exact same), the nail trimming done on our cat was absolutely horrendous. Our cat was screaming during the entire process (which is not normal behavior for him) and when we asked the groomer why he was screaming, he brushed it off. As soon as he left we quickly realized why...he had cut one of his nails well below the quick (the pinkish red part where the nerve begins) and his nail was bleeding profusely. Upon closer examination we could see that almost ALL of this toes were cut below the quick and were slightly bleeding. Luckily we had some styptic powder to help stop the bleeding, but it wasn't enough for the one paw that would not stop so and we had to rush our cat to the vet. He is now on antibiotics, pain killers and wearing a cone for who knows how long until he can heal. There is no reason this should have happened, as our cat is white and all of his nails are clear so it is very easy to see where the quick begins. We have been trying to call the company for the past few hours to get some help or answers, but they have not responded or returned our phone calls. What should have been a simple procedure has turned into an incredibly expensive and painful experience for our poor kitty and our family. Please do yourself a favor and take your pets elsewhere!! Photos attached show the one nail after the vet cleaned it up.
