Classic meat and three smack dab in the middle of Downtown Tucker. Don't miss the peach cobbler. Parking is tough, try the overflow lot during lunch on weekdays.

Matthew's is a traditional entree and sides type cafeteria with a strong southern flavor. The space is clean though a bit tired, but it is bright and the staff is very friendly. The pork BBQ was very good, as was the collard greens and sweet tea! Great place for lunch. There was a line, but it moevd quickly and there was plenty of sitting.

don't make the trip to Tucker; saw 'DINER,DRIVE-INS,&DIVES' W/GUY FIERI, AND HE VISTED GIVING THE PLACE A GOOD RATING BUT when we went the food was mediocre so whatever they prepared for him is not what they had for the general public; I WAS NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

Old Fashioned

Matthew's serves good, old-fashioned, home cooking style meals. The building is a bit dilapidated, but it's clean, and the employees are friendly. Great desserts! Very well priced.

southern food at it's best

The portion sizes of the food is exceptional for the price. Great breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I have eaten there all 3 times of the day. They have even catered several functions for me.
