Dear Beth,I am sorry you were displeased with your experience at Ballet Rincon. I am dismayed and quite frankly, surprised to hear of it, when we have a thriving and long-standing children's program of happy dancers and families. I am the director of the school, and I assuredly do not yell at our students. We do have age-appropriate structure designed for the safety, training, and ultimate enjoyment of our dancers, however, and consider proper citizenship in our classes a priority. Our daughter was not happy here. She had the director for a teacher and she complained that she was too snappy and strict with her. She would yell at her when I left her there alone and the next minute in front of me would call her "honey". I found the whole experience unheathly psychologically for my daughter and she is now at another studio. Judge it for yourself but I clearly did not like the way they treated the children.

We had a horrible experience with the preschool dance here. The instructors seemed nice at first but the expectations for small kids in class and during recital for small children are ridiculous. Rehearsals were too long and parents have to volunteer and we did not even see our little one perform because of it. Will never return and do not recommend for small children.

My daughter has been with Ballet Rincon for over 4 years. The staff is very caring and instruction is excellent. They are ballet-focused, with "traditional" wardrobe and behavior requirements, but I think this adds to the overall discipline of the experience. The kids learn how to dance and learn how to learn!

This studio's teachers are extremely irritable with the children. The director is unpleasant and extremely strict with the younger children and even at times verbally abusive with the older kids. The instruction is extremely poor and there is no continuity in instruction from class to class. I would not make this choice again and would advise finding a studio with qualified instructors with reputable training.
