Quality Poor to fair Appeal Poor to fair Service Poor to fairGus, the parts counter crook I dealt with, is a liar cheat and thief. I am a disabled Veteran on a fixed budget, so when I needed a transmission, I opted for the "cheaper" choice of buying the part from a salvage yard and having it installed. I called Gus and questioned him extensively about where they got parts from, if they came with a warranty, everything. I was assured that the transmission would be in good working order, and that he'd check it himself when it arrived in Tucson. First, it took 5 days longer than I was promised to get the part. Then, once installed, it didn't work. No problem, says Gus, he'll get another one here pronto. Of course, I'm already out the 400.00 I paid to have it installed. I then pay Gus' mechanic an additional 350.00 to install the second unit. It leaks so badly I had to put fluid in it just to return to the shop. I then paid another 65.00 to have a seal replaced that should've been done already. The shop didn't properly brace the engine after removing the crossmember, and the engine shifted, pushing the fan into the shroud/radiator. That night, I leave for San Diego. 200 miles out, the fan shears off the waterpump, leaving me stranded halfway between each city. I then paid 400.00 to have it towed back to Tucson. Upon calling Gus, he assured me he'd come to my place the following morning to check it out. I haven't heard from him since. DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!!

Provided by SuperpagesI just sold my wrecked car to Best Auto Salvage. These guys were friendly, gave me the best offer and the transaction was quick and east.

I called to see if a part was available and the guy told me it was. About two hours later I left work early to pick up the part. Because this shop is not open on Saturdays, I had no choice but to miss work. I arrived about 4pm on a Friday and the guy told me he wasnât going to send someone out to pick the part because they were too busy (there was only one other person in the waiting room). I was somewhat dismayed by this response since I just spoke with him two hours earlier. He just stared at me as if to say, ânot my problem.â If they have a time cut-off for customers to come in and pick up parts they should indicate that when you speak with them on the phone. Needless to say I donât think customer service was on the top of this guyâs list, rather I think it was the 5 oâclock quitting time that he was interested in. Thatâs an example of how to offend a customer. In desperation I went to Aviation Auto and the guy there not only looked in his yard but he called every other shop in the area for me. Thatâs an example of how to win a customer.

Jennifer answered the phone and greeted me with kindness and respect. This yard has been the most helpful I've found and have very competitive offers. Especially if you are wanting to sell a vehicle.
