Terrible experience. First, he charges a $75 fee to come out and look at the chimney. He then tried to charge me a total of $444 to fix a standard chimney cap that another chimney company (that I called after this fiasco and that is A rated on Angie's list said would cost no more than $100-200). At first I hired him (since I didn't know any better), and he said it would be a week to install. Over a week went by and no word. I called him back and he didn't even remember me or my house. He then said that he needed to call the cap maker to check on status and said he would call me back. Never called me back, so I called the next day, and he said the cap maker was delayed so he couldn't install for another week. I call a week later, he says he has the cap but is going on vacation and won't install it until the following Tuesday. When I call the following Tuesday, he says he can't install it until Wednesday, and that I can blame the cap maker because they didn't complete the cap. I told him I was going to cancel the order, and he says I have to call the cap maker to cancel the cap. I ask for their name and number. He gives me their name but refuses to give the number. He says he doesn't have it. Really? You don't have their number but you order caps from them all the time. Interesting.
In any event, I proceed to call the cap company and Mike then sends me a bunch of texts and leaves a voicemail apologizing for his unprofessional attitude. Too little, too late.

If you want terrible customer service, this company is for you.

Just wanted to write a little note thanking Chimney Cricket for the wonderful service that was performed at my house. The customer service was great and as promised, there was no mess. I would with out a doubt use Chimney Cricket again.
