Provided by YP.comNot the business, but the vet. I've known Paula Medler for something like 35 years. I, or rather my dog, was her first patient when she joined a Tucson practice. Dr. Medler got me through some of the worst times of my life - when my dog (PJ) swallowed an embroidery needle and needed endoscopic surgery, when another dog (Katie) was bitten for the seventh (!!!) time by a rattlesnake and needed 3 days in doggy ICU and I forget how many vials of antivenin, when the retired guide dog (Viceroy) I'd adopted began to have seizures and needed so much medication, when my Golden (JessieV) finally reached her last days at 16 and Paula cried as much as I did - and the list goes on and on. I doubt you can find a better, more caring, more involved veterinarian than Paula Medler, DVM!! As for the application of Chinese medicine techniques, I remember when she came back from training and I watched her use those techniques, with such amazing results. She's the best. SIX stars!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI made an appointment yesterday for our new puppy that we rescued from PACC. I had not been to Cortaro Farm's Pet Hospital for years but they were listed as one of the Vet's to get a free visit with the adoption of your puppy. (PACC Provides a certificate).
Upon arrival I provided the certificate and filled out the paperwork, the Office Staff seemed nice.
When we were taken back and the Vet looked him over, listened to us and seemed friendly. She wanted to do blood work but never told us the cost. I did not think to much of it thinking it must be routine and under a 100.00 or they would have said something... I was completely wrong.
Upon going to leave I was given a bill of 288.30!!! I asked why and I was told it was 210.00 for the blood work, 53.00 for the visit and the medication was 25.30. I asked why the visit was not free and they told me it had been to long since I adopted the puppy from PACC. Why I was not told this upfront is beyond me.
However 210.00 in blood work that no one told me about is unacceptable, that's not a small fee that's something that they need to advise you of. I was under the impression they had to tell you the cost of any treatment upfront.
I can say that the lack of integrity and the inability to be honest and upfront has assured I will not only leave negative feedback everywhere I can but that I will never go back.
Mr. Crane, We are very sorry you were not happy with your experience at our clinic, and we wish you had brought your concerns to our attention so we could have worked with you to make it right. Try as we might, we realize that we are not the right fit for every family, and we wish you and your pets well as you search for a clinic that is a good fit for you.
