Now looking forward to my lease expiring in a few months so I can leave. Maintenance on the place has really declined in the last few years (having lived here almost 4 years now). Latest management seems intent only on making sure there is no accountability for the maintenance personnel.



Our last straw was needing the garbage disposal replaced a few months ago once it finally died. After 4 weeks of waiting, I went and asked the office manager where the new unit was (the apartment was starting to smell from our not being able to use the old, broken unit). She called back the next day saying it would be in the following day and she would make sure it was put into our unit immediately. In the afternoon, my wife called and said the new garbage disposal was put in our apartment and that I would enjoy it so much once I got home from work. When I got home, I see what she meant: maintenance had indeed finally gotten the new garbage disposal (a refurbished unit, blechh) and had put it into our apartment; it was still in the box sitting on the counter.



Knowing from the past the absolutely poor job maintenance at the apartments have been, I decided to not even bother complaining again as it had already taken them almost 5 weeks to just get the new disposer to us. I just gave up and installed it myself, deciding then and there we would move once our lease was up.



I would not recommend moving to Estancia. The maintenance personnel is horrible, the management works only to cover for them, and the place is visibly declining throughout from it.
