My wife brought me for a surprise 50th B-day party. Food, seraambiance ambiance were spectacular.

The food was outstanding. There is no doubt a four star award winning chef is behind the menu. Our party tried every protein on the menu but the octopus. The duck was perfectly done; the Chicken was great; the pork excellent; the fish awesome, but the lamb was magnificent! Primo’s Sicilian style Italian menu is matched by their wine list. The desserts are good, but the highlight of the selection is the Vanilla Panna Cotta with seasonal berries.

The resort was experiencing power issues during our dinner, so our service was slightly delayed. During our wait, they served use outstanding assortment of bruschetta and antipasto. What a great twist of fate! The Hummus was heavenly; olive tapenade impressive, the eggplant was a surprise, but the mushrooms were so amazing. And I normally do not like mushrooms. The only thing that did not please my palate was the Fava Bean spread, but that was just my palate. I still dream of the mushroom and hummus. And the selection of cheeses and veggies on the antipasto were so fresh and exceptional.

While the prices are on par with any quality restaurant, they are more reasonable than other establishments of this caliber in the east or west coast retreat towns. I highly recommend planning a table on the patio to enjoy the view as the sun sets over the national park it borders. Plan time to really enjoy the meal – 2.5 hours or so.
