In 58 years, I've not met a more HONEST, or perfectly COMPETENT mechanic than Herman or Rick. These fellows TRULY SHINE as EXCELLENT PROFESSIONALS, 3 years ago, they rebuilt a Torqueflite 727 in my 1966 Chrysler Newport, transforming a leaky, utterly worn out old transmission into the BEST AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION i've driven in 43 years of driving.

Herman CARES ABOUT QUALITY WORK! When a small matter of a leaky O-ring arose this summer, I took our precious old antique back to Herman, who rectified the matter MOST REASONABLY, and he gave me several tips which I will be SURE to implement.

These gentlemen redeem MUCH that's amiss in the mechanics profession by their PLATINUM example. BTW, they handle modern transmissions as adroitly as the old stuff. I saw a full house of modern vehicles there this past week, when I first left Old Mathilda there this past week.

I went to another shop because the trans was not shifting right. They said it would need a rebuild and would cost between $2800 and $3300. I then took it to Herman for another opinion. He said to change the filter and fluid. It was easy to do so I did it myself. That cured the problem. Total cost about $25.Thats a big difference. Needless to say I am glad I went to Hermans.
