My husband went into Joe's Pancake House this morning for breakfast while tires were being installed in our vehicle. He sat down and saw 4 waitresses just talking. One came over to the table next to him to clean it and ignored him. He thought well maybe she's not the waitress for my table. Two white gentleman came in and they were attended to immediately. An elderly woman came in and she was attended to right away. Meanwhile, my husband is still waiting for service. He waited almost 15 minutes and no one ever came to ask if he would like to order. He got up and left. My husband is Latino and is too polite to complain. But I'm not! I will not ever set foot in Joe's again and tell my family and friends who are light skinned to stop going there. Goes to show you that we still live in a racist world where the color of your skin determines if you are welcome or not.
