The owner, Greg, and his wife, Kelly, are some of the most mean, grouchy, rude, unkind people I've met in a while!

My 11 year old son and I live nearby, in the neighborhood, and enjoy going to socialize, listen and dance to the live music. The bartender, Barry, had always made us feel welcome, especially my 11 year old. He would wave to us when we were out and about the town, running errands. And during the day, before the court even opened, he would be preparing and we would walk by and say hi.

It felt like a place that you could call your neighborhood hangout and my son loved going and getting a root beer at the bar and watching Barry do neat tricks with the empty bottle.

Anyways, we liked coming at night, as i said, to socialize, listen to music, and dance. My 11 year old son, being very sociable, loved dancing with all the grandmas and meeting people.

Then, Greg and Kelly started treating my son like he was a pest and told him and I to stay in the back. Which there was no reason for that, because NOT ONCE did anybody complain but instead raved about how polite, mature, and kind my son was!!!

Many times people offered to buy him a soda or food and of course, he's not gonna turn that down. He's your typical kid. But then, the owner, Kelly, accuses him of panhandling and begging!!!! And she literally yelled at my child, A CHILD, in the corner of the parking lot!!!!! She treated him like a criminal and said he was running some sort of a scam and could see right through his act!!!! All I can say is "WOW!!!"

Very unprofessional and not ok. She traumatized my child and he cried all the way home!!!

The Monterey Court yard is AWESOME!!!

The entertainment is off the chain!!! Very good!!

The food at the cafe needed help last night (4.28.13)....the hot food was cold, the potpie was dry, and the service was sloooooooooooooow (perhaps why the food was cold??????). Not sure, but will try the cafe again, and hope the service will be better and the cooked food hot.?!!!

It is worth going to the Monterey Court for the entertainment for sure.
