Provided by YP.comI went to get my IUD removed and replaced with another. My current IUD had embedded slightly and the removal was painful. So I opted for the Nuva-ring. After they left me to get dressed, my blood pressure went up (skyhigh) and I was dizzy and nauseous. I could barely get my clothes on. I opened the door and said I thought I was going to pass out. The response was amazing!!! I LOOOOOOOOVED my doctor . She was so calm and cool and empathetic. She put her hands on my shoulders and in a soothing voice said "Just breathe slowly and feel how cold my hands are" Weirdly the coolness of her hands was calming. Seconds later they brought the wet wash clothes and put them on my neck and forehead. It was the most calming experience ever. As an introvert the way she touched my shoulders, held my arms and took my pulse by hand was just sooo caring. Best doctor ever!!!

Provided by YP.comDon't go if you're having ANY issues, cause god forbid you have any sort of spike in your blood pressure. I've had issues with this center jerking me around before, and this time was no different.. I was out of birth control pills before my renewal visit and when I called to get a cover pack, they had "archived" my medical records because they couldn't find them, even though they don't usually archive records unless they are older; and so their clinician refused to issue me a cover pack and I lost those days, resulting in basically loss of BC coverage for a WEEK because I had to be back on the pill that long before it was effective again. This wouldn't be such a hardship if it wasn't for the fact that I work security, in no so good parts of town, frequently. So yeah, no reason for my blood pressure to spike there. Not to mention I don't do well with any medical personnel to begin with, it takes a long time for me to trust any new doctor and I only see these people ONCE a year to renew this prescription. So going through all the basic vitals, turns out they DID find my records, in the inpatient box, where it had been since I made the appointment. And my blood pressure is 138/86. Not great, but under their stated limit (check their Q&A) of 140/90 , but no. Apparently, their clinician is going to exercise her nurse practitioner call and deny me my renewal of the same prescription I've been on for 5yrs because I obviously have high blood pressure from the 3yrs of charts they have on me where they take my vitals ONCE A YEAR after pulling things like this every year. So now I have the choice of coming back in 3 months to see if my blood pressures going down (YEAH, real likely with the treatment I'm getting) or going on the other types of birth control- a different pill that is only 97% effective and stops my period (3% less effective than I want, and 2% less effective than my original prescription) or the Shot that has a list of side effects as long as my arm that last the entire time I'm taking it, and include possibly "gaining alot of weight" (that's verbatim from the pamphlet she gave me). I'm not small to begin with, and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't weight gain bad for your heart / blood pressure too? The clinician didn't care about anything other than what was in black in white from my vitals, wasn't willing to even consider any "Non-official" tracking of my blood pressure (I would have had to go to a doctor (who I didn't know because I don't have a primary care physician) and get a vitals check or I wouldn't be able to get the pills I need; yeah no stress to bump my blood pressure there) and just generally pushed the shot in my face as if that is what I should have been on anyway, and wouldn't hear of any sort of trying to stay on the pill that had worked for me for so long without ANY side effects. I told the staff, and they claimed they would try to talk to their director to override her decision, and It's been three weeks. I haven't herd ANYTHING. I've called TWICE, trying to get some information because I went with the 3month option to try and get some time and that lets me stay on my preferred pill. I'd like to know before that prescription runs out and I have to go back and deal with this again. They just don't care. At all. So I'm writing this to warn you guys, get any issues settled while your there, and if you fell any sort of stress, reschedule or it will only get worse.
