I took in a duvet, cotton, with a washable down comforter in it. I just wanted it laundered the way it was. The lady wrote out the ticket with a charge of 21.00. The thursday it was due, we went to see if it was in, and was informed that they had until 5:30 as stated on the ticket. As I am disabled, I had to wait til Monday to pick it up. In the meantime. my caregiver came out of the store and said. Guess what. Now they are charging you 57.47 for the items. I called in and asked why. The answer I received was I was charged for two peices. To launder two items? I asked why I was charged 27.00 for a cotton duvet. The answer was: it had to be pressed. Why was I charged 30 bucks for a washable down comforter? Because it was down. Why wasn't I called when the price was changed? So these folks have lost a few customers. I also asked for the two to be put back together. No such luck, the duvet was folded into squares--so much for pressing.
