Best place in Tulelake

My father and I wanted to visit the Modoc Caves and see an area of Oregon and California that we hadn’t seen before so we needed a place to stay that was closer than Klamath Falls. There are only three places to stay in Tulelake, and I’m very glad we decided on Fe’s B&B. We found her B&B to be very comfortable, clean, and homey. We were also lucky to get the entire upstairs to ourselves, so the privacy was quite a treat. It was so much better than a tiny hotel room, and Fe’s breakfasts were really wonderful. Fe is an exceptional hostess, and we enjoyed some very pleasant conversation with her. She is such a kind woman and so caring. Even though Tulelake itself seems like a deserted town, that wasn’t a problem for us because we were there for the caves and to explore the surrounding areas and sites, not spend time in stores shopping. Although there are no adequate restaurants in the little town itself, you can still find a fantastic place on hwy 139 just 5 miles from Fe’s B&B called Captain Jack’s Stronghold Restaurant. We ate there both evenings. The service was great, and the people were very friendly. They make everything from scratch, and it was very delicious and filling. I would highly recommend Fe’s B&B to anyone who wants to visit that area and see the sites. Thank you, Fe, for being such a good hostess and making us feel so at home!
