For more than 30 years, Precise Machining & Manufacturing has combined programming, machining and inspection technologies. Since 1995, Precise has completed more than six facility expansions and purchased more than 20 new manufacturing systems. Employment at the company grew 145-percent in four years. In 1999, with on-time deliveries exceeding 99-percent and quality-acceptance rates better than 99-percent, Precise became one of only 168 companies selected by Boeing from some 30,000 suppliers to receive Silver Preferred Supplier status. In March 1999, Precise Machining & Manufacturing and its partners in the Boeing Joint Direct Attack Munition program received funding from the United States Air Force to support further development of lean-manufacturing techniques for implementation in small and mid-sized manufacturing environments.
