Established in 1979, Shelton State Community College is a part of state system of public colleges. Based in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the college has two campuses, namely The Martin Campus and the C.A. Fredd Campus. It offers general education, technical and occupational programs along with public service positions in the Alabama Fire College department. Additionally, it offers art, music and theater programs and is named Alabama s Community College of the Fine Arts. The institution offers Community Education program focusing on personal interest courses, such as computer science, art expression, languages, cooking and ballroom dancing.
