Monica Alvarado, my 21 year old sister-in-law went to Southern California Psychiatric Associates and met with Jacqueline D. Bredehoft lic#PMH565. According to Monica, the visit was very unpleasant and she felt that the Jacqueline didn't really care and was very short. She prescribed a Daytrada patch, but when we went to the pharmacy to pick it up, we found out that it cost over $200. So, we attempted to call her so that we can change the prescription to a generic pill form to save money. My wife left 5 messages over a three week period with the guy who answers the phone. Each time the man assured us that he gave Jacqueline the message. Finally, I left a message threatening if we do not get a call back that I will make a complaint to the American Psychiatric Association, and the call finally came. Jacqueline started the call by saying that she had been very busy and calls back over 20 people per day. She claimed to have called us back yesterday and left a message, which is a complete lie. When I asked her if she was sure, she said she assumed. She then said that since Monica isn't crazy or suicidal there isn't any rush to get this handled. Who says such a thing? Monica is in desperate need for help, and this is the type of help you provide? Towards the end of call, I told Jacqueline that her tone was extremely condescending and I told her to please just call the pharmacy and tell them to issue the generic pills and then she tells me she'll need to see Monica again in order to do this, but it would have to wait until May 4th or something like that (2 more weeks). All this woman wants is to collect more office visit money for doing absolutely nothing. I raised my voice out of frustration and she had the nerve to hang up on me. This lady is extremely unprofessional and everyone should stay clear of her.
