First off let me congratulate the owner on re-opening after Sandy. I have been to this shop twice before Sandy and my reviews were mixed but it was close to home and my girls liked it. After the re-opening, we had gone back. On this occasion we had an appointment but the overall vibe I received was not very welcoming. I attributed it to nerves and left it alone. On the next occasion, we did not have an appointment but my daughter needed a quick cut. We decided to try going as a walk-in. We were told as soon as we got there they are booked but we can wait and see if a haircut does not take 15 minutes. 3 people in and out of the chair later and not even so much an acknowledgement we were waiting. At that point the overall rudeness and lack of attention make me not EVER want to go back. I know it is my fault for not having an appointment but the lack of attention from the owner or the receptionist as we were waiting left a very bad impression. If you want to go to this place make sure to have an appointment, unlike what they advertise walk-ins are NOT WELCOME!!!!

I have been going to this salon now with my kids (5 & 6) for 6 yrs and NEVER once had a problem. They schedule you fast and conventiently! The salon is very clean, and loaded with lots of fun things for the kids. I would highly recommend this place for any first timers....They are very patient with the kids and my kids look forward to every visit!!! Give it a shot, you wont be dissapointed!!

The girls at Cherished Kids Cuts are excellent. They are able to give my very energentic son a perfect cut every time. He is apprehensive when getting his haircut and the girls are patient and understanding.
