Hired him for floor refinishing. Made a deal with him that he will charge me for labor and I will buy material myself. He said the material cost will be $ 450 I spend over a thousand on materials only. We agreed that I will pay him 10 % down and rest after finishing the job. He was half way finishing sanding first day I met him at my property with 10%. The guy was very rude and said we agreed on 50% down. I told him no one asks 50% down and that also he wanted cash. I was helpless because I needed to move in the house in less than a week. He threatened me that he will stop working if I don't pay him 50% cash. I finally agreed 30% and three payments till Job is done. He didn't even finish his job and left. Floors look like a mess. God knows what he did with the stain and polyurethane application. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Please be aware that he is very rude and has no idea about the floors especially wood. One of those with a week experience and opens a business thinking that he knows everything and can do the job. I am very unhappy with his work and spend again to resand the floors and the whole process. Not to mention the guy is rude and felt unsafe around him when talking about money.
