I have been taking my dogs to Playmate Kennels for 19 years of wonderful boarding experience. Two week vacations, short trips, overnight, I have the peace of mind to know my buddy will be happy and cared for well. The grooming there is another big plus, I bring my dogs home looking smart, smelling fresh, with clean ears and clipped nails. I like the proof of vaccinations requirement at Playmate Kennel, as well as I have appreciated the caring, knowledgeable staff administering daily meds to several of my now departed old loves. I am currently boarding a puppy that bounds in joyfully, and comes home tired and happy.

We picked are dog up from a kennel after we went to california & she came home with a huge scab on her face I freaked out, & the lady told me it was prob allergies! Well we took her to the vet yesterday and it has progressivly got worse now losing hair and blisters popping on her face and back, well he said she has Demodex which is a skin mite kinda like staff and got it that from being in dirty places and her whole vet appt cost us $200 not happy but she should be better in 10 days now washing everything to her toys to the couch and carpet not happy! DO NOT take your animals to Playmate Kennel and Stables in Union Grove! The palce stunk like POOP when we brought her there and I just had a feeling it was not a clean place but we went with it anyways! Also all her toys and dog bed had to be washed and her when we got home we had the windows rolled down for hrs after we picked her up thats how bad it stunk!

I would just like to send a brief note about Playmate Kennel. We have been taking our 2 dogs there for over 7 years. We are completely satisfied with the care and service that we receive. The owners live on the property and that put me at ease right away. They are very accomodating to our schedule, whether it be early drop off or later pick up. We have found the facilities to our liking and the owners are very caring and compassionate with the animals. We have found them to be the most inexpensive in the area, but that does not mean we don't get quality care. We will always take our animals to Playmate Kennel. Thank you

We kept our 2 small dogs here for the weekend. Fri to Sun pm. 49 hrs

it was 81 dollars. In addition it smelled strongly of urine as did the dogs upon pickup and we were not allowed to see the "spacious"

runs where they were being boarded. Also since they were smaller dogs the owner suggested we board them together. Not at all so she could have an extra kennel to rent out. I saw no discounted price for this. Our dogs came home very skittish for the first 2 days , this was unnerving. In all I felt it was not quality care for the premium price we paid.
